Yo sé que "chewing gum" es goma de mascar o chicle. Mi problema es que vengo traduciendo con ifinitivos: Las prácticas antihigiénicas como: fumar, comer, tomar, gum chewing...

No sé si "chicle" se entiende en todos lados, o si es mejor poner algo así como "mascar goma", que me suena horrible. Quisiera alguna opción para poder mantener los demás infinitivos.

Anita, en Chile también se usa chicle, pero creo que goma de mascar se entiende en más partes. Mi sugerencia es:
mascar chicle (goma de mascar) y así mantienes el infinitivo y explicas chicle para quienes no conzcan el término
