A hard copy (or "hardcopy") is a printed copy of information from a computer. Sometimes referred to as a printout, a hard copy is so-called because it exists as a physical object. The same information, viewed on a computer display or sent as an e-mail attachment, is sometimes referred to as a soft copy.

Lo he visto escrito tanto junto como separado, aunque mayormente hardcopy está escrito todo junto. En Argentina, a los documentos que se generan por computadora para imprimir en general se los denominan "copias impresas". Saludos.

agree Alexandra Potts : En Google aparece más que "copia en papel", es la traducción que utiliza Microsoft y, además, es más correcto, puesto que el "hard copy" no tiene por qué limitarse al papel (podría ser una transparencia, p. ej.). Pero en inglés deberían ser dos palabras.
