"Politicians", as Darien and Karlo suggested, isn't too bad either, but a politician is a policymaker and I feel that "policymaker" is a little closer to "Politik". (A health care politician would be a Gesundheitspolitiker.) And policymakers may include people other than actual politicians.<br><br> It's very interesting that "Gesundheitspolitik" seems to be used as an anthropomorphism in German. It is certainly not an anthropomorphism any of the dictionaries recognise - but maybe they should. However, I am quite convinced that "policy" would <b>NEVER</b> be personalised in this way in any variety of English. Indeed, I agree not just 100%, but 200% with Dan's observations on this. It is simply <b>not natural</b>. To make it good English, something like "decision makers" or "policymakers" has to be used.
