Yes indeed. I agree 100% but that doesn't preclude the term "inventory". Look at the references attached to my answer and consider what an inventory contains - a list of fixtures, furniture, furnishings and the condition of everything (often with photographs) -the whole is called an inventory where I live - ask any estate agent
SafeTex May 12, 2022:
@ all Hello
i'm surprised that "inventory" and variations on this got so many votes. I live in France and have had many "états de lieux" and it's far more than just an inventory (of fixtures). It includes the condition of the leased property and such things as burns on carpets, marks on walls, scratches on floors, how clean the property is etc.

We've had this term over 20 times before, with many different answers, including "inventory".

Do landlords have to provide an inventory?
It's in your landlord's interest to provide an inventory but it's not a legal requirement. If they don't do an inventory or if you think that what's provided is inadequate you could pay an independent inventory clerk to draw one up.10 Jul 2019

Inventory of fixtures

I think it's a pretty standard contract term.

neutral AllegroTrans : In my experience the inventory includes furniture (where the premises are furnished) and, especially, condition

Inventory of fixtures

The inventory of fixtures is an official visit you conduct in the apartment with your landlord before moving in, and also a document that helps compare the condition of the apartment when you get in and when you leave.

Example sentence:

The inventory of fixtures should be done by both parties when keys are given to the tenant and when the tenant returns keys back to the lessor upon leaving the property, in compliance with article 3 of Law n°89-462 of July 6th 1989.

entry condition report

It is the report that the landlord fills out and has boxes for the tenant to either agree or disagree with the assessment of the landlord in Australia.

In England I think they refer to it as inventory or report of condition
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : Never heard this used before. Maybe it's OZ terminology

it may be, but it is quite self-descriptive
neutral AllegroTrans : with Writeaway. Don't think this works in IRL or GB

yes, British and Irish people may not understand what a condition report is...
agree SafeTex : Hello. My observation would be that you also have an état de lieux when someone leaves the rented property so "entry" is only half the story

well, yes, call it entry and exit report, the same report is checked when a person leaves the property

Schedule of Condition; (neg.) Schedule of Dilapidations

How long is a piece of string, so context would be helpful ...

Unclear whether this is a header and an état des lieux d'entrée > incoming / BrE: check-in or état des lieux d'entrée > outgoing / Bre check-out report vs. Oz entry or exit condition report: country-neutral or Irish-focussed.

We've had this term over 20 times before, with many different answers, including "inventory". : meaning, many inconclusive replies, mainly oblivious to conveyancing & letting practice.
Example sentence:

everything was just as described in the schedule of dilapidations when you moved in. Vous déménagez d'une location à une autre ? tout était encore comme décrit dans l'état des lieux.

Ireland: Landlords can serve a schedule of dilapidations on the tenant during (*interim* schedule of dilapidations), towards the end or after (*terminal and final* schedule of dilapidations) the lease has expired.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : Quaint wordage but as ever, deeply flawed. As Phil G told you last year, a schedule is a report, but you didn't listen.

Neither you, nor Phil G., have ever worked in conveyancing or landlord & tenant so don't know that that the first term is called a schedule of condition *report*.https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=schedule ...
agree Angus Stewart : This is what it is called in Scotland

Thanks, Angus. It's good to have a practitioner's angle. Schedule of dilpadations is what my conveyancing solicitor-colleagues in London call it.

rental property inspection (etc.)

For the sake of variety.
"A rent inspection, also known as a rental inspection or a property inspection, is an inspection done by a landlord or their property manager of a rental unit that is, was, or will be occupied by a tenant. These inspections are done to verify the condition of the unit at key points in the rental cycle.
In addition to doing inspections at move-in and move-out, landlords have the legal right to check out their rental property while they are occupied by tenants."
