It must read "rEgazo". Sorry about the typo! ;-)

: Hm... Perdón pero a mí si me dijeran: "se sentó en sus piernas" pensaría que el sujeto está tumbado y la otra persona se sienta en sus piernas extendidas, como me hacen mis hijos a mí cuando quiero dormir... :-)

I guess it all depends on where the translation is going to be used. To me, "regazo" would be OK in a poetic context. FYR, "tumbado" means "knocked down" on this side of the pond. ;-)

sitting on laps = sentarse en los regazos (de miembros del sexo opuesto del equipo)
it looks to me that this case requires the plural, not only because it is expressed that way in English, but because this way it covers "the laps" of all team members.
I personally would make the clarification that it means "the other sex team members" that way it is totally and completely clear.
When legalities are in question, it is better not to leave a loophole so nobody can say "I did not understand". Personal opinion.
I hope it helps.

: It makes no sense to use "regazo" in plural.

You have the right to your opinion... but if we consider this is given in Plural because it is a warning I believe the translation has to keep that tone.
