cappuccino lungo

I don't know how to convey the idea of "lungo" in English. Because it doesn't mean that it's weak, but that it probably has a higher quantity of milk (or maybe coffee?). Thank you in advance

I agree with you, James because, actually, we would never order a "cappuccino lungo". We would just say: "Con più latte" or "Con meno caffè".
I'm quite sure that it's not referred to the amount of water in it, so "tall cappuccino" is probably a good idea

Could it have anything to do with letting the water run through the coffee longer. Disgusting practice, in my opinion, but in Spain this is relatively common and known as "largo de café". No coffee like in Italy ...

What about a little context? If I asked for un cappuccino lungo tomorrow, the barmaid would probably say, ma non abbiamo una tazza più grande. I've been drinking the things for years and the only cappuccino lungo that I know is a latte macchiato.

I know 'caffè lungo' which is Italian coffee (outside of Italy often referred to as espresso) with the double amounf water, but the same amount of coffee.

Hi,

Starbucks calls it "tall wet/dry cappuccino" ("wet" for a lot of milk and "dry" for very little milk).

milky cappuccino / cappuccino with extra coffee

depending on whether it in fact has more milk or more coffee in the "lungo" bit!

americano cappuccino

or americano with steamed milk
(in NYC an espresso lungo is called an americano in good coffee bars)
