Si tratta proprio del pasticciere...secondo il Ragazzini chi prepara le paste è il pastry-cook, chi le vende è il confectioner. Il Picchi invece non fa distinzione fra le due accezioni...

maker of candies: somebody who makes or sells candies (su Encarta)
