ProZ.com powwow: Informal networking for translators

The last Stammtisch* went on vacation to the beach in Brighton, but now it's back in London! Unfortunately, we can no longer meet at Grafton Arms; I was told that they would have to start charging us £50 for room rental, as they were not making enough money... The good news is that I found an alternative location - let's see how we like it.
The new venue:
Carpenters Arms (the small downstairs bar on the left hand side)
68-70 Whitfield Street
The nearest tube station is Goodge Street, but the pub is also conveniently located in close proximity to Euston, Euston Square, Warren Street and Great Portland Street stations. In contrast to Grafton, food is served at Carpenters Arms. Since this will be our first time at the new venue, I suggest we stick to straightforward socialising, rather than a seminar or presentations. Let's see how we like the venue first!
New faces are always welcome - we always attract a good mix of regulars and first timers! If you're new to ProZ or this is your first powwow and you would like to find out what they are all about, please refer to the ProZ.com FAQ site: http://www.proz.com/faq/powwows
See you in June!
*German for "regulars' table" or "regular get-together." The group usually meets once a month for an afternoon of informal networking and socialising. Recently, we have started experimenting with new ideas to enhance the powwows. There is a forum dedicated to this topic, please feel free to contribute: http://www.proz.com/topic/96710
