English to Russian translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature / as easy as cake
English term or phrase:as easy as cake
For something you tried hard at, but failed, then it happens that it has rather easy solution to it, a phrase in English is "as easy as cake".
In the film 2010 John Lithgow's character tries to teach a Russian "a piece of cake" and "as easy as pie", but he gets it wrong and comes out with "a piece of pie" and "as easy as cake". I've not come across it otherwise. Prior failure is irrelevant btw.
