Powwow Day

Hi all!

So many people have shown interest in celebrating 'Translator's Day' - it is about time I informed you about the venue:-)

It has not changed. It will be The Grafton Arms Pub, 72 Grafton Way, London, W1T 5DS. (5 minutes walk from Warren Street tube station)

I have booked the pub from 3pm onwards and told them lots of people are coming.

Romina who is coordinating the 'Translator's Day' celebrations globally has asked if there is Internet connection available. I have a wireless laptop but am not sure if there is a hot spot nearby. If anyone has another solution, please feel free to let me know.

This way we are linked to ProZians all around the world!

Let's have a fun day! I look forward to meeting you all!

As the pub does not have Internet we are going to celebrate Translator's Day, but will not connect with other Powwows.

I'm awfully sorry but an important customer has realised something needed to be added to an existing project (as they do), which blows the weekend. Have a great day, and I sincerely hope I can make it next time.

Next week's meeting is also a special celebration of our profession. This - coordinated by Romina - is part of a worldwide get-together of translators who are registered with Proz.com in many cities around the globe.

We can say hello to each other over the net or via Skype.

Therefore please take your Skype enabled mobile phones with you or a laptop / palm / handheld with Skype so that we can hook up.

Maybe all of you have a little anecdote of what makes our profession so special!

I look forward to meeting / seeing all of you.
